Everett Peabody [photograph], [ca. 1850-1852].

Hand-colored sixth-plate daguerreotype in leather case of Everett Peabody (1830-1862). Peabody died in 1862 during the Civil War at the Battle of Shiloh, while serving as a member of the 25th Missouri Volunteers. The photograph was taken ca. 1850-1852 by Lorenzo G. Chase of Boston, Mass.
